Inspired by the grand
success of the Delhi Convention in March 2000 and Kolkata Convention
in March 2003, the Guwahati Convention offers another opportunity of
global interaction with Tea producers, exporters, blenders,
distributors, packaging companies, equipment manufacturers,
suppliers, trade associations and those involved in the tea
industry.
The Convention is being jointly organized by the Tea Board of India,
the Consultative of Plantation Associations (CCPA) the apex body of
all tea producers in India, the Indian Merchant Tea Exporters Forum
(IMTEF), the Federation of All India Tea Traders Association (FAITTA),
South Indian Tea Exporters Association (SITEA) and India Trade
Promotion Organisation (ITPO). |

IITC 2007 will have three components Business Sessions, Exhibition
and a Tea Tasting Session. The Tea Tasting Session will showcase a
wide variety of Indian tea in a structured way.
IITC 2007 focus would be on marketing with an accent on exports. The
flavour will be on emerging retail sector, covering sourcing &
vending options.
The India International Tea Convention endeavours to take
participants directly to the heart of India's largest tea producing
province Assam. Guwahati houses the largest Tea Auction Centre in
the world. |
